Larry Williams, Trusted CPA & Accountant

Larry Williams grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. After graduating from Maplewood High School, he attended Michigan State University on a National Merit Scholarship. He graduated from Michigan State with a BA in Accounting and was the co-recipient of the Haskins & Sells award given to the top graduate in accounting.

Larry began his professional career with Touche Ross(now Deloitte) in their Nashville office on the audit staff. After five years, he switched to the tax department as Director of Tax Operations and a few years later became a Partner in the firm. Under his leadership the Nashville office tax department became the largest tax practice in Nashville. Larry left Touche Ross to practice on his own. After several years of solo practice, he reunited with some former colleagues at Touche Ross in the local firm of Kruse & Associates, located in Brentwood, TN.

During that time, Larry became a Certified Valuation Analyst and developed a business valuation practice at Kruse & Associates. He also served as Tax Partner for some of the firm’s largest accounts. In the 10 years that Larry was a Partner, the firm grew from 9 people to 120. In 2003, Kruse & Associates merged with Crowe Chizek (now Crowe) and Larry became a Tax Partner with Crowe. In 2010, Larry took early retirement from Crowe and established Larry Williams, CPA. Larry specializes in tax compliance, planning and IRS representation for individuals and their family. He also continues to provide business valuation services and is an active member of the community.
